The National EMCDDA Focal Point and RELIS

National focal points are expert centres constantly developing structures and functions to suit emerging needs in the fields of drugs and drug addiction. As such, the NFP does coordinate a national information network (RELIS) to meet the EMCDDA's requirements for a core set of data and national drug reports. The NFP ensures epidemiological surveillance of drugs use and misuse, as well as the monitoring of emerging psychoactive substances and consume patterns.

Furthermore, the NFP carries out target research projects on a series of drug related expert domains (e.g. : prevalence, incidence studies, drug-related infectious diseases and correlates, public expenditures).
